Abbott FreeStyle Libre CGM Systems

The FreeStyle Libre Systems are continuous glucose monitoring systems (CGMs) that continuously measure your blood glucose levels without fingerstick calibration. Eligible patients can get these CGM systems as part of their diabetes healthcare plan for little to no cost under Medicare or other private insurance plans through Aeroflow Diabetes.

Check to see if you’re eligible for low-cost CGM systems. If you are, you may choose from the:

  • FreeStyle Libre 14 day System
  • FreeStyle Libre 2 System

Each system is compatible with a device to give you convenient blood glucose monitoring.

¶ Fingersticks are required for treatment decisions when you see Check Blood Glucose symbol, when symptoms do not match system readings, when you suspect readings may be inaccurate, or when you experience symptoms that may be due to high or low blood glucose.

** The FreeStyle LibreLink app and the FreeStyle Libre 14 day reader have similar but not identical features. Fingersticks are required for treatment decisions when you see Check Blood Glucose symbol, when symptoms do not match system readings, when you suspect readings may be inaccurate, or when you experience symptoms that may be due to high or low blood glucose.

†† The reader can capture data from the sensor when it is within 1 cm to 4 cm of the sensor.

§§ Sensor is water-resistant in up to 1 meter (3 feet) of water. Do not immerse longer than 30 minutes.

ǁǁ Based on the sensor being replaced once every 14 days, and scanned at least once every 8 hours.
