Abbott FreeStyle Libre CGM Systems
The FreeStyle Libre Systems are continuous glucose monitoring systems (CGMs) that are a part of Abbott diabetes care. The CGMs measure your blood glucose levels through the back of the upper arm through interstitial fluid without fingerstick calibration.
Eligible patients can get these CGM systems as part of their diabetes healthcare plan for little to no cost under Medicare or other private insurance plans through Aeroflow Diabetes.
If you qualify through Aeroflow Diabetes, you may choose the:
- FreeStyle Libre 14 day Reader
- FreeStyle Libre 14 day Sensor
- FreeStyle Libre 2 Sensor
- FreeStyle Libre 2 Reader
The system is compatible with a reader or other compatible devices, such as an iPhone, to give you consistent blood glucose monitoring.
¶ Fingersticks are required for treatment decisions when you see Check Blood Glucose symbol, when symptoms do not match system readings, when you suspect readings may be inaccurate, or when you experience symptoms that may be due to high or low blood glucose.
†† The reader can capture data from the sensor when it is within 1 cm to 4 cm of the sensor.
