Abbott FreeStyle Libre CGM Systems
The FreeStyle Libre Systems are continuous glucose monitoring systems (CGMs) that are a part of Abbott diabetes care.
These CGMs measure your blood glucose levels through the interstitial fluid in your body, so you no longer need to use fingerstick calibration.
Those who are eligible may receive Abbott CGM systems at little to no cost through their Medicare or private insurance plan with Aeroflow Diabetes.
Check to see if you qualify for a CGM system through your insurance.

The system gives you blood glucose readings and lets you know when you have high glucose or low glucose levels. These CGMs help to make your diabetes management easier.
¶ Fingersticks are required for treatment decisions when you see Check Blood Glucose symbol, when symptoms do not match system readings, when you suspect readings may be inaccurate, or when you experience symptoms that may be due to high or low blood glucose.
†† The reader can capture data from the sensor when it is within 1 cm to 4 cm of the sensor.
